With the announcement that Leigh Sales is hanging up her 730 microphone at the end of the next election, and given the discussion her move is likely to bring forth, I thought I would rerun this piece from September last year that responds to pieces by Sales and journalist Margaret Simons, dealing with the continually fraught relationship between the mainstream and social media.
